Ministry of MSME launched the SFURTI scheme with the view to make the traditional industries more competitive, market driven, productive, profitable and capable of providing sustainable employment for traditional industry artisans and rural entrepreneurs. FMC was appointed as Technical Agency (TA) for KVIC, Coir Board, IEDO and IMEDF under the Revamped SFURTI Scheme, to provide close handholding and implementation support to the SFURTI clusters. The TAs shall provide technical support to the Nodal Agencies (NAs) and the Implementing Agencies (IAs). The responsibilities of the TAs will include preparation and validation of Cluster Action Plans, conducting training of the Cluster Development Executives (CDEs) and other officials of the IAs and NAs and regular monitoring of the cluster.
