Mr. Gulati initiated and contributed substantially to the institutionalization of cluster-based Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise (MSME) policy and implementation framework in India. He also supported similar initiatives in several other developing countries. He coordinated a number of development projects on behalf of United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) for 12 years (1996-2008) for MSME development. He represented UNIDO on several international forums and also successfully organized more than 25 international training programmes on cluster development over his career. Mr. Gulati has authored several books and publications in the area of MSME development. He also steered the setting up of Foundation for MSME Clusters in the year 2005 and nurtured it to become a resilient institution that works with a number of multilateral & bilateral donor institutions besides national ministries & development institutions.

Mr. Sharma is a Post Graduate in Geological sciences and Business Management. He has 25 years of experience in SME Development and worked in reputed organizations like National Institute of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (NIMSME) and APITCO Limited. His areas of expertise include preparation of Techno Economic Viability Studies and Detailed Project Reports for infrastructure projects, SME Profiles, business plans for individual enterprises, implementation of soft and hard interventions in MSME clusters. His international assignments include countries like Qatar, UAE, South Africa, Montenegro, Palestine, related to training on Cluster Development and preparation of DPRs.

A result oriented and enthusiastic professional with high achievement motivation, excellent communication and relationship building skills, Iqbal has almost 20 years of relevant experience of high impact programming for the poorest of the poor in India. The thrust areas of his experience are in rural livelihoods, micro finance & development, skilling & entrepreneurship development, agriculture extension, social inclusion, women empowerment, natural resource management, MSME cluster development and research. His core competencies lie in the areas of women empowerment, advisory support, project management including monitoring and learning functions, building partnerships and advocacy.

During his carrier, Iqbal has worked with government, UN, funding organisations as well as with corporates under their CSRs. He has handled multi stakeholder projects through convergence like DPIP-MP-World Bank, AIF, UNDP, WDF, KBIP, UNICEF in several states in India, women being primary beneficiaries in majority of them. He has experience of designing programs as well as projects, fund raising for new and existing programs, delivering and evaluating programme strategies for pro – poor skilling, entrepreneurship and livelihood development, gender empowerment, social mobilization and institution building.

Mr. Tyagi has 16 years of good expertise in finance and Grants Operation (including Donor and Partner Management) domain with special reference to SME clusters Project. He is a Post Graduate in Commerce and also holds a Masters in Business Administration (Finance) and Diploma in International Business Operations from IGNOU. He is a good working knowledge in area of Financing, budgeting, financial strategy preparation, managing Cash Flow, MIS, Financial Analysis, and Creating and managing the overall financial plan. He has been involved in a number of projects including research assignments and providing inputs for developing proposals and prepared financial budgeting in more than 225 projects with clients such as European Union, World Bank, SAARC Development Fund (SDF), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ), UNIDO and other many National/International organization and departments of the Government of India. He is Four years of experience in Training to MSMEs for seeking a loan for Government Schemes and created frequently ask questions (FAQs), Project Monitoring and Control Systems and, Training tools for MSMEs on Banking and Finance.

Mr. Lahiri has more than 10 years of experience in the area of cluster development with a focus and interest in livelihood promotion among unemployed youth, women and household/micro-enterprises. Currently, I am involved with Foundation for MSME Clusters (FMC) as Senior Manager. I have experience of conceptualizing and strategizing implementation of various projects in the area of livelihood promotion and employment generation among rural as well as urban poor. I have also experience of networking with various Government Departments like SFURTI supported the scheme of Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Ministry of MSME, SIDBI, multi-donor agencies like KFW, GIZ, UNDP, corporate and PSUs like Citi Foundation, ACC, GAIL, Yes Bank, along with incubation of social venture like SUTRA, a marketing company for artisans’ products. I have also been a trainer on the subject of cluster development methodology and remained associated with few publications on cluster development in India.
