Panipat Textile Recycling - Sustainability Readiness Report

The Foundation for MSME Clusters (FMC) presents the Diagnostic Study Report on Sustainability Readiness of the Panipat Textile Recycling Cluster, a comprehensive, research-based assessment developed through six months of primary engagement with over 100 MSMEs and validated through stakeholder consultations. As one of the world’s largest textile recycling hubs—generating over ₹1,30,000 crore in annual turnover, ₹30,000 crore in exports, and supporting more than 400,000 livelihoods—Panipat plays a pivotal role in advancing circular and sustainable textile value chains. This study establishes a credible baseline for data-driven interventions, informed policy dialogue, and collaborative action to strengthen sustainable, inclusive, and competitive growth across the sector.
